The reprints of Volumes Five and Six of Girl Genius have now shipped.

Just in time for us to start worrying about the reprints for Volume One (color, this time, did I mention that?) and Three, then Two and, of course, the release of Volume Nine. Woo. Hoo. Augh.

Have just begun re-reading the series, from the top. I'd forgotten just how good these books were.

And today, for the first time, I watched "Half-Blood Prince". Such huge divergences from the book, but such a good movie. Very well-made. Watched it twice - and the death scene was heart-wrenching both times.

All this Harry Potterdom takes me back. I'll need to go dig up my favorite fanfics again. My old work-in-progress will still never be finished; pre-HBP, I was gearing up for a plot device that turned out to be similar-to-but-not-entirely-like Horcruxes, and it rather took the wind out of my sails. But maybe I'll go back and read that one again, too. I was very fond of it.

Oh, memories. So many old friends.

The reprints of Volumes Five and Six of Girl Genius have now mostly shipped.
And about time, too. There are a few stray orders that should be tidied up and shipped this week, but after that, we should be done with that particular circus. Huzzah! It really was a circus, too, so if we got your order wrong in any way, please do let us know. We'll fix it!

Girl Genius has been nominated for a Broken Frontier Award for Best Webcomic of 2009.

Ate everything this week, gained two pounds. Given the drama of my grandmother's death and things not panning out with my first prospect since the split, I'm just happy I didn't gain more.

Took one day off from the gym since last Saturday, and have been able to turn up the resistance another notch. I've done weights all week, in addition to the cardio, and I'm making lots of progress all around.

Ended up working yesterday, as my coworker didn't show up for her shift and my brother called at 8am to beg me to come in. Of course, I did. It all worked out in the end; coworker overslept and ended up working a later shift, to cover for someone who couldn't make it, and I made up the hours I missed on Tuesday. I'm tired now, but I'll be very happy on Friday when my check comes.

Already looking forward to next weekend. Parents are gone on Friday, so it'll be TV MARATHON NIGHT! with my little brother.

Mom asked the other day what I want for Christmas. All I can think of is "Sessions with a personal trainer". I think I've come a long way, guys. :) And I'm so thankful for every step I've taken.
